Arellano, Navarre, 2020

The Arellano Town Council proposed creating a monumental mural on the exterior wall of the town's fronton. They also wanted to transform the small weighbridge in the same square.

Both projects were participatory, and the townspeople met in person and via Zoom (in the midst of the pandemic!) to agree on what elements to include in the murals and how they wanted them to be painted.

The result: two murals that speak of the town, its history and its nature, the daily work in the fields, and the ancient Roman heritage (including partially preserved roman mosaics!) in the area.
