Veronica Werckmeister (b. 1972, Los Angeles, U.S.A.) is a painter, muralist and commercial artist. Werckmeister earned a BA in History from Northwestern University (U.S.) in 1995 and an MA in Socially Engaged Art from the University of the Highlands and Islands (U.K.) in 2021. Her studio work explores memory, grief and politics through the objects and people closest to her. Parallel to her studio work, Werckmeister is a community muralist and has led countless participative mural projects in Spain and the U.S.A.  Werckmeister is also a commissioned muralist for institutions, associations, commercial  ventures and private clients. She currently lives and works in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.
