In 2019 Werckmeister began to create works about herself, her relationships, the state of the world as she sees it — no pre-approved compositions, no external requirements.

A deliberate break from years of community murals and private commissions.

Working in series, each body of work follows a single emotion or idea that ends when the next one begins.
